ASIrri - Cambodia
Irrigation Service Center (ISC) - Building the future of FWUCs

ISC TeamWelcome to Asirri project “Projet d’Appui aux Irrigants et aux Services aux Irrigants - Cambodge – Haïti – Mali”

Asirri is a partnership between organizations from the North, IRAM, GRET and AVSF, and the South Faranfasi so, CEDAC, CUDES, CROSE and FONHADI. The project is financed by AFD (Fisong).

The project duration was initially 3 years from January 2009 to December 2011 and was extended for six months until mid-2012.

The Cambodian component of ASIrri Project has also received additional funds from the EU food facility program.

The general objective of the project is to improve management of irrigated schemes and to optimize agricultural production through sustainable water users associations and service centers.

The specific objective of the Asirri project is to elaborate, test and ensure sustainable services centers are put in place in three different contexts (Haiti, Cambodia and Mali) and to favor exchanges, cross learning and capitalization of experiences.

Specifically in Cambodia the objectives are as follows:

  • Establish one Service Centre in Kompong Thom;
  • Develop and test services adapted to FWUC;
  • Build up references and capitalize experience;
  • Provide references to a national platform (advocacy).
